Here is a selection of some of the animals we have sold through the years.
Tara Hills Farm P171
P171 is a purebred bull. He is out of K241 Bento and by the US fullblood bull Bar R Michifuku. Born Oct 2018, he was the best performing of our 2018 born bull calves. P171 has a very self assured but calm and quiet temperament, and is becoming very masculine and impressive. We rather like him but he is too closely bred to our cows to keep in the breeding program.
Tara Hills Farm Aizachiyo P220
Aizachiyo is a fullblood bull, imported as an embryo from David Blackmore in Australia. Born in August 2018, he is a full brother to Yasufuji P202, out of Blackmore Aizakura Z209 and by the fullblood bull Blackmore Dai Ichi Yasuchiyo G615
Aizachiyo is also another classic mix of Tajima and Itozakura bloodlines. His dam Z209 is sired by TF147 Itoshigefuji and grandsired by TF146 Kikutsurudoi. Z209 is a daughter of the cow Aizakura U100, described by David as his "best ever cow" with over 3000 descendents on his farm.
His sire Dai Ichi Yasuchiyo is Blackmore's third highest genomic rated bull. He has a high Tajima content (72.5%) but is still the largest bull in the Blackmore program at over 1000kg.
David Blackmore’s comments: This bull will be a good all round bull that will maintain carcass quality in Full blood breeding and increase size.

Aizachiyo is registered with the AWA and eligible for registration with the NZWBA. AWA pedigree and EBV.
Tara Hills Farm Q152
Tara Hills Farm Q152 is a purebred bull calf born 21/08/2019. He is sired is the US fullblood bull Blue rock Michifuku FB3101. Q152’s dam is Tara Hills Farm N150, a purebred cow born in 2017.

N150 is sired by the Australian fullblood bull Ginjo Marblemax Hiranami B901 and out of our foundation cow H240. We have been very impressed by the Michifuku sons over B901 daughters results. Q152 was 33kg at birth, was 147kg on 21/12/2019 and had a 200 day weight of 230kg.

Given his early birthdate in August 2019, Q152 is a good choice for a bull to work as a yearling in 2020.
Tara Hills Farm Q197
Tara Hills Farm Q197 is a purebred bull sired by the US fullblood bull Bar R Michifuku.

Q197’s dam is Tara Hills Farm M194, a purebred cow born in 2016 (and our favourite cow). She is sired by the Australian fullblood bull Ginjo Marblemax Hiranami B901 and out of our foundation cow H223. Q197 was 33kg at birth but is showing a massive early development and weight gain – the best we have seen yet from one of our bull calves. He was 132kg on 31/12/2019 and had a 200 day weight of 240kg.

Q197 has been the best early performer and is our pick of the 2019 purebred bulls.
Tara Hills Farm R198
R198 is a purebred bull sired by Yasufuji P202 or Aizachiyo P220 (DNA verification pending) and out of M190, a purebred cow out of H223 and by the Australian fullblood bull Ginjo Marblemax Hiranami B901. R198 is one of the first generation of calves sired by out own Fullblood bulls and we are very pleased with how he has developed early on.
Tara Hills Farm R165
R165 is a purebred bull sired by Yasufuji P202 or and out of M163, a purebred cow out of H223 and by the Australian fullblood bull Ginjo Marblemax Hiranami B901. R165 is a 3/4 brother to R198 and like his brother he has also developed very nicely, evidence of the quality of the Blackmore Wagyu genetics we have introduced to the herd.
Tara Hills Farm Yaju R181
R181 is a purebred bull, an ET calf sired by Sanjiro 5U and out of N148, a purebred cow out of our foundation cow H240 and sired by the Australian fullblood bull Ginjo Marblemax Hiranami B901. Named Yaju or"Beast", he is an absolutely beautiful animal and our best early performing 2020 bull calf.
Tara Hills Farm R187
R187 is a purebred bull, an ET calf sired by Sanjiro 5U and out of N64, a purebred cow out of our foundation cow H240 and sired by the Australian fullblood bull Ginjo Marblemax Hiranami B901. R187 is a 3/4 brother to R181 and another example of the lovely calves that the Sanjiro 5U x B901 combination has created.
Tara Hills Farm M163
M163 is a 2016 born purebred cow, sired by the Australian Fullblood bull Ginjo Marblemax Hiranami B901 and out of our foundation cow H223. M163 and her sisters have proven to be truly excellent cows - reliable, plenty of milk, good natured and great maternal traits. M163 was the dam of 2020 born bull calf R165 (see sold).
